The Digital Officer role is based within the Producer Responsibility team, part of Environmental Markets and Regulation. We're a national team with officers based across England. As a wider department we ensure that companies are disposing of their waste correctly by enforcing government regulations - 'right waste, right place', a process reliant on our Digital systems. An excellent opportunity for a budding Digital professional to work alongside an experienced Digital Team who support, maintain and continuously improve business critical Digital Services and IT solutions. As Digital Reg Officer, you will:

  • Complete a Digital Apprenticeship as agreed with Line Manager
  • Work closely with Digital Product Managers on continuous improvement, ensuring digital products run efficiently and cost effectively.
  • Assist Digital Product Managers with resolution of support calls.
  • Provide digital project support.
  • Use your skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI to create and maintain solutions for data management and display.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Specialists to support and develop Microsoft-based tools for the wider team
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Manage the Digital mailbox and contribute to note taking in meetings.
  • Assist in financial procurement.

See the candidate pack for further information. The team Producer Responsibility is a supportive and inclusive department that encourages our teams' health, safety, wellbeing, and development. We predominately support Producer Responsibility Teams and Collections Packaging Regimes and Waste Shipments. Our collective aim being to improve the quality of recycling and ensure waste entering and leaving the country is handled appropriately for recycling and recovery. We help to protect and improve the environment by regulating industry, ensuring compliance, and eliminating illegal activities.

    We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate:
  • Excellent customer service skills, building and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management and planning skills to deliver a varied workload with conflicting deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptable to change, is comfortable in working in agile environments.
  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft 365 and Office suites.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with knowledge of formulas, macros and Power Query.
  • Ability to work to data, and records management policies with sound attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic about working collaboratively towards common goals.
  • Be bold, be brave and think innovatively.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of working with Power Platform apps.
  • Ability to deal with digital user queries, convey information and solve problems.
