4649 - Senior Delivery Manager

We're recruiting for a Senior Delivery Manager here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Technology Services Delivery team.

This role aligns against Senior Delivery Manager from the Government Digital and Data Framework.

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you'll be part of our supportive and collaborative delivery team, based in Technology Services. Technology Services design, implement and maintain the technology services that enable MoJ staff to work efficiently and effectively.

The delivery team in Technology Services lead the delivery of high priority and strategic projects. We deliver a wide range of projects such as - organisational wide technology transformation, transition and exit, complex procurements, product development and user centred pilots exploring the value of new technologies. We also deliver business intelligence projects, using the data we hold across Technology Services to improve how we work and run our services.

As Senior Delivery Manager you'll join an experienced delivery community. You'll guide multi-disciplinary teams, supporting them from start to finish and enabling the successful delivery of outcomes. You'll be responsible for leading project planning, understanding and solving problems. Your ability to work in the open and build relationships with stakeholders will be an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for leading delivery of complex projects

Developing effective plans across the project, product or service cycle. Ensuring momentum, capturing and reporting on progress and managing dependencies and risk.

Problem solving and delivering through uncertainty

Whilst working confidently and finding practical solutions to address challenges that may arise on projects.

Embedding best practice delivery methods

Applying the most suitable and proven delivery methods, including agile practice or traditional project management styles where needed. Encouraging a culture of working in the open, whilst being mindful of sensitive information.

Building and leading relationships

Working collaboratively with the project teams you lead, and engaging stakeholders and users that are impacted by the projects you deliver. Building strong relationships with other departments and engaging technology suppliers.

Sharing expertise and knowledge to strengthen delivery and empower colleagues.

Commercial skills

Evidencing an ability to understand and manage commercial, procurement and financial tasks and to driving through businesses cases.
