Full Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Academy Analysis to support the Club's Performance Analysis provision across all age groups, in both the boys and girls Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with, or working towards, an Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis or a related field, who has a high level of tactical understanding and knowledge of football.,

  • Support the filming of all home Academy fixtures, training sessions, presentations, and CPD events, in line with governing body criteria.

  • Build and maintain working relationships with other Clubs to ensure sharing of match footage.

  • Code relevant filmed fixtures, in line with JamTarts identity.

  • Support with the management of video performance databases, and upkeep of Hudl platform administration.

  • Provide regular video-based feedback to teams and individual players.

  • Take an active role in furthering the development of analysis within the Club.

  • Complete any other tasks as requested by the Head of Academy Analysis and other Senior Academy staff.

    Undergraduate Degree, or actively working towards, in Performance Analysis, Sports Science or any other relative domain.

  • Postgraduate Degree, or actively working towards, in Performance Analysis, Sports Science or any other relative domain (Desirable).

  • Previous experience of working in a football academy setting (Desirable).

  • Full and clean UK driving licence (Desirable).

  • Legal Right to Work in the UK.


  • Essential Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrate a high level of tactical understanding and knowledge of football.

  • An understanding of current trends within data analytics in football.

  • Proficient using Mac iOS and Windows products.

  • Experience of using Hudle Flex Cameras (Desirable).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Good organisational skills to effectively manage time and balance workloads.

  • High levels of attention to detail and maintenance of standards.

  • Proactive attitude and drive to always be improving whilst staying on top of improvements and developments within widening performance analysis sphere.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and motivated to attend courses presented by the governing body.

  • Flexibility with weekly working patterns.

    Heart of Midlothian is a Scottish Premiership Football Club based in Edinburgh, with Elite Academy Status. The Club have an exciting opportunity to work within the Clubs Academy as Academy Analyst, on a part-time basis.

  • Hours Part time, 12 hours per week to be worked flexibly to meet the needs of the Academy schedule, which includes evenings and weekends.
