A vacancy has arisen within the Housing Need Service to assist with provision and management of temporary accommodation to those in housing need. Working to meet the goals within our Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan.

The post holder will work within the Accommodation team. Responsible for both the provision and key housing management services for temporary accommodation in West Lothian. The accommodation is sourced from both the social and private housing sectors. The service further manages the preparation of properties in the Private Sector for use as temporary accommodation.

Allocating temporary accommodation providing a pro-active approach in accordance with policy and procedure; ensuring complex needs of applicants are met and properties are used to the best potential Delivering a high-quality Customer focussed service to those in private and temporary accommodation in West Lothian.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council
