We are seeking an Accounts & VAT Assistant to join a team that specializes in delivering top-notch VAT services. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of VAT regulations and compliance requirements, who can provide expert advice and handle VAT planning, registration, and tax returns with precision and confidence. On top of this, you will have a chance to work on accounts related tasks as well.

• Maximise available VAT reliefs and expertly interpret VAT regulations to provide clients with effective VAT planning.
• Offer tailored advice on VAT schemes and assist with managing VAT control visits and negotiations with tax authorities.
• Guide clients through VAT registration, ensuring proper management of VAT schemes to comply with HMRC requirements.
• Handle accounting and complete VAT returns for clients, reviewing and making necessary changes to client-provided books for accuracy.
• Provide training on accurate VAT return completion to ensure compliance and avoid penalties.

• Strong understanding of VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in handling VAT planning, registration, and tax returns.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
