I am thrilled to be bringing an Account Director position to market for one of Edinburgh's iconic agencies due to an increase in client portfolio. As an award-winning creative agency that works across local SMEs to global giants, this is an amazing opportunity for a candidate who thrives on innovation and collaboration.  

My client is searching for someone who knows exactly what it takes to lead all types of accounts - from excelling working at pace to knowing when client expectations need to be managed and everything in between. The role centres around owning clients accounts on all fronts, from strategic input to full financial management, ensuring they are always being driven forward and optimised.

Key role responsibilities:

• Taking full ownership of assigned accounts; managing budget, profitability, estimates, quotes, invoices, growth, timescales, briefing, presentations and comms
• Constantly building and developing strong agency-client relationship
• Strategically evaluating and pushing forward all campaigns and projects
• Owning new business opportunities, approaching them with a creative and commercial mindset
• Building strong relationships within your own team and across the agency, fostering collaboration and development

To be considered for this role you will:

• Thrive under pressure, with examples of excelling when the deck has been stacked against you
• Have a deep understanding of agency processes, including when client requests are unrealistic
• Excel in building strong, long-term relationships – both internally and externally 
• Have experience working as a Senior Account Manager or Account Director in a fast-paced marketing/creative/ad agency, managing a range of accounts with responsibility for timescales, project and financial management
• Enjoy pitching new business to C-suite level clients, handling objections and challenges with ease
