Full Job Description

This is a remote working role with regular customer site visits and National travel, with flexibility required in line with business needs. Due to the nature of this role, a full valid UK Driving Licence is required. Using your parcels industry knowledge and experience, you'll strengthen strategic relationships with RMG's major customers to grow and retain revenue, maximising new revenue opportunities, whilst retaining revenues and delivering key initiatives. About the role

  • Deliver revenue and business targets, identifying and delivering breakthrough deals
  • Deploy a 3-year strategic account plan to increase share of spend, improving and enhancing customer satisfaction
  • Mitigate competitor challenges, enhancing the role of RMG and deploying customer specific-products and solutions
  • Successfully deploy new products, campaigns and solutions
  • Collaborate with third parties to maximize opportunities
  • Provide accurate monthly and FYF revenue forecast and reporting
  • Lead virtual teams that delivers the account plan objective

    To truly excel in role, you will possess the necessary skills and experience listed below -
  • Strategic business developer with high levels of acumen and ability to identify and act upon emerging trends
  • Exceptional internal and external influencing skills, especially at board-level or executive decision-maker
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with experience in deploying change programs
  • Self-starter and capable of operating with ambiguity and a high degree of autonomy
  • Commercially shrewd, with a challenger attitude, focused on getting the best deal for RMG
  • Strong negotiation skills and a single-minded focus on revenue and profit generation
  • Good understanding of the mails and parcels market and the opportunities that exist for Royal Mail Group, Leadership/Coaching Certification (desirable)
  • Graduate or relevant experience (desirable)
  • APS Registered/Certified Sales Professional (desirable or working towards)
