Full Job Description

We're seeking a passionate and proactive Account Manager to manage and grow advertising revenues for DC Thomson, across various platforms Digital, Print and Radio. You will also be tasked with multimedia selling to new and existing clients, We are looking for a candidate who can proactively identify both new business & new opportunities. You will be asked to approach potential clients, proactively identifying areas of opportunity to generate revenue while both growing and maintaining excellent relationships with all clients. You will work to reach sales targets provided and collaborate across the entire advertising team in order to deliver the targets both effectively and collaboratively.,

  • Building and nurturing relationships with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across all sectors.

  • Developing revenues across your territory by leveraging the DC Thomson portfolio to help clients achieve their goals.

  • Fostering key internal and external relationships with local businesses and colleagues.

  • Meeting and exceeding personal and team targets.

  • Taking personal revenue responsibility for some existing accounts within your territory, while identifying and engaging new clients.

    Demonstrated ability to succeed and thrive in a time-limited environment.

  • Proven experience in selling diverse ranges of brands and products, with an aptitude for matching these to client briefs.

  • Exhibits a "can do" positive attitude, excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Results-driven, charismatic, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

    You will be part of a successful local team, representing DC Thomson selling the portfolio of print and digital brands across Scotland. We have an exciting portfolio of media brands - including The Stylist Group, Puzzler Media as well as communities in energy, local and national news, women's and children's magazines, lifestyle, teaching, crafts, audio and sport.

    This is a full-time, permanent position, working 35 hours per week. This is a hybrid role offering a blend of home and office working from our Aberdeen office.
