This is a hybrid role with time in the Edinburgh office required on a weekly basis.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive, confident, and commercially minded Account Manager. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing the sales strategy and be instrumental in project execution through the commissioning phase. Your contributions will drive future growth and provide valuable insights into opportunities and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume overall responsibility for assigned Energy Partners, including communication, service, and support.
  • Lead asset performance reviews internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with Trading, Operations, and Balancing Services Teams to maximize commercial returns from Energy Partners' electrical flexibility.
  • Introduce new market or product opportunities to the existing portfolio of Energy Partners.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to proactively identify new sales opportunities and build your sales pipeline.
  • Project manage the onboarding of new sites through to live operation.
  • Champion Energy Partner issues internally, identifying areas of risk and streamlining existing processes.
  • Manage Energy Partner contracts and renewals.
  • Prepare financial reports and tender submissions.
  • Articulate technical information effectively, both internally and externally.
  • Contribute to understanding and influencing regulatory and policy matters.
  • Serve as an ambassador and role model for the Flexitricity brand.
  • Achieve targets for revenue, profitability, and sales growth.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of two years' account management experience within the energy sector.
  • Understanding of the Energy sector and the factors influencing its development.
  • Knowledge of energy markets and regulatory changes affecting Energy Partners.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts (experience in a technical role is beneficial).
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Good planning and organizational abilities.
  • Capacity to work both within a team and autonomously.
  • Competent IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Full UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of gas and electricity markets.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM or a similar platform.
