Accountancy Practice - Account Manager

Eden Scott are delighted to be supporting one of London's fastest growing Accountancy Practices who are going though an exciting period of growth and will be launching a brand new office based in Glasgow due to the increase in Scottish based clients.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity offering both hybrid working and flexible working hours.

The Account Manager is to manage their own portfolio of Scottish based cliental and help resolve inbound queries at first point of contact whilst handling these enquires with the upmost professionalism and care.

This role would suit a self-sufficient and experienced individual with previous experience of working within a fast-paced accountancy practice and thrives from working in a multi-client environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with their clients. You will be tasked with resolving queries through email, phone and/or face-to-face meetings. You will be a team player and be confident in your own abilty, immersing yourself within a variety of duties and multitasking a varied role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The preparation and computation of self-assessment returns
• VAT returns
• Corporation tax returns
• Working with spreadsheets, sales and some ledgers and journals
• Payroll administration
• Bank reconciliations and payment advice
• Personal and company tax planning activities
• General administrative duties

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Excellent people skills and enjoy working with a variety of people
• Previous experience of handling client enquires at first point of contact
• Self-sufficient and ability to hit the ground running
• Ability to work well within a collaborative environment
• Previous experience of working within an Accountancy Practice
• PQ or strong QBE
