The post holder will work in a team, managed by a senior accountant, to provide financial reporting, business and strategic planning, budgeting services and generalist financial advice. In addition, the successful candidate will also be required to present financial information to budget managers. The Accountant will operate as part of the team within their designated portfolio. Working closely with the Finance Business Partners, Assistant Accountants, Finance Officers and budget holders, the post holder will have a thorough understanding of the accounting processes and business plans for the subsidiaries and business units supported and will provide support with operational finance and accounting to meet the regulatory and finance departmental objectives., You will work with colleagues who offer support to ensure our customers' expectations are met. You will be a part qualified accountant with a recognised accounting body (e.g. ICAS, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and actively studying. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a financial or management accounting role and the ability to present financial information to a varied audience. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues and external organisations is essential combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery. This role requires an advanced level of IT skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems (Excel and Word) and web enabled IT tools and software. Salary: £42,109.00 to £52,636.00 per annum depending on skills and experience This post is based at Link's Edinburgh office.
