This newly created role will be based in Aberdeen City Centre with hybrid and flexible working. Our client is looking for an experienced Accountant to hit the ground running. You will be fully qualified or part qualified, self motivated and have strong Excel skills. This is a varied role where you will be able to get involved in various projects and process improvements. Our client offers a competitive salary and an excellent working environment.

The Opportunity

• Responsible for the timely and complete month end routine for the UK Operating Company
• Responsible for full Co-ordination and support of the transactional team to ensure all monthly reporting deadlines are met completely and accurately
• Support UK Finance Manager with BPR preparation and any required analysis
• Attendance of the monthly BPR and any UK Management meetings
• Support the UK Finance Manager in the annual audit cycle and in the completion of the annual statutory accounts
• Support the UK Finance Manager in the annual Q3FC Budget cycle
• Support the UK Finance Manager in managing Cash flow
• Manage the preparation and timely submission of all direct and indirect taxation returns and documents to the appropriate tax authority
• Alongside the UK Finance Manager, manage the Capex / Investment Appraisal process to ensure a robust decision-making process
• Ensure compliance to Group accounting policies controls, identifying areas for improvement within the UK Operating Company

Background and Experience

• Qualified Accountant or Part Qualified
• Minimum 5 years of experience
