Accounts Assistant

Our client is a dynamic SME based in West Lothian, known for their innovative approach and diverse revenue streams. Their client portfolio includes global clients with well-known household names and are focussed on growth through organic client relationships and winning new business through reputation and quality of delivery via their industry leading client platform. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their fast-paced finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Assistant reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team with a variety of tasks, including:

• Processing accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
• Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accuracy
• Supporting month-end reporting activities
• Assisting clients with accounting queries and providing solutions
• Managing client and supplier account applications to maintain updated records
• Handling enquiries from third parties in a professional and timely manner
• Performing various ad hoc accounts administration tasks as required

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar accounts support role
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to multitask
