We're seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client's team and contribute to the smooth running of their financial operations. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the accounts payable and receivable functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sales Ledger - Raising ad-hoc customer invoices and credit notes
  • Purchase Ledger - Processing supplier invoices, payments, and monthly statement reconciliations
  • Bank Reconciliation - Ensuring all transactions are processed daily and appropriately reconciled weekly
  • Reviewing and maintaining accurate record management
  • Preparing accounts to trial balance stage
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
  • Administering electronic and manual bank records and mandates as required
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing credit card reconciliation and control
  • Overseeing intercompany reconciliation and control


We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently
  • A self-starter mentality, with the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with financial regulations
  • Payroll experience is a plus, though not essential
