We're seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client's team and contribute to the smooth running of their financial operations. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the accounts payable and receivable functions.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales Ledger - Raising ad-hoc customer invoices and credit notes
- Purchase Ledger - Processing supplier invoices, payments, and monthly statement reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliation - Ensuring all transactions are processed daily and appropriately reconciled weekly
- Reviewing and maintaining accurate record management
- Preparing accounts to trial balance stage
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
- Administering electronic and manual bank records and mandates as required
- Preparing VAT returns
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
- Managing credit card reconciliation and control
- Overseeing intercompany reconciliation and control
We're looking for candidates who have:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently
- A self-starter mentality, with the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with financial regulations
- Payroll experience is a plus, though not essential
