Accounts Assistant

Murray Recruitment have a permanent opportunity for a Accounts Assistant based in Glasgow.

Working within the finance team your role will be to support the Finance Team in Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and all relative administration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software.
• Payroll: Accurately process weekly Payroll for approx. 50 employees
• Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports.
• Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and process invoices from suppliers.
• Accounts Payable: Prepare and process payments to vendors.
• Accounts Receivable: Issue invoices to customers and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform other administrative and financial tasks as required by the finance team

Experience

• Previous in an Accounts/Payroll position
• Experience in working with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sage 50
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, ensuring attention to detail
• Highly organised and able to manage own time effectively to meet deadlines
• Communicates effectively at all levels
• Enjoys working as part of team

Offering

• Salary up to £23k-£26k DOE.
• Hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (1 hour lunch)
• 20 days holiday plus 9 statutory days.
