Full Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team. The role will be full-time on a permanent contract, within a fast-paced environment in our Glasgow Head Office. Reporting to the Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance and administrative functions of our business. Duties Include

  • Matching, checking, and coding invoices.
  • Processing monthly and weekly supplier and subcontractor payment runs.
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
  • Issuing rental invoices.
  • Reconciling credit card statements.
  • Filing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Verifying change of bank details via phone and paperwork for suppliers.
  • Maintaining the asset register for all IT and mobile equipment provided to staff.
  • Dealing with utilities and general office maintenance tasks.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for phone calls and general business enquiries.
  • Covering other accounts staff during annual leave, including processing weekly payroll and assisting with purchase orders.
  • Performing other ad-hoc duties as required.

    Proven experience in accounts administration or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and tools (e.g., Sage,).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanour.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
