Working as part of a collaborative and supportive accounts team, the Accounts Assistant will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to a varied portfolio of clients. This role will suit someone with previous experience in practice or a strong interest in developing a career in accountancy.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Assisting with VAT returns and bookkeeping duties.
- Supporting year-end processes and financial statements preparation.
- Liaising with clients to request and clarify financial information.
- Assisting senior team members and partners with ad hoc tasks and projects.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Previous experience in an accountancy practice is desirable, though not essential and our client are willing to support anyone looking to move through their professional qualifications. Training will also be provided on systems including Sage and Xero however strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are an absolute must, alongside a professional, friendly manner.
