P&L Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a rapidly expanding Accountancy Firm based in Renfrewshire, to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant looking for a career within Accountancy Practice. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment with a great team/culture.

The main duties:

• Preparing accounts for limited companies and sole traders
• Preparing CT and self-assessment tax returns
• Preparing VAT returns
• Dealing with all client queries and developing strong relationships
• Contacting HMRC to resolve issues
• Carrying out other general accounting functions as required

The main requirements:

• Strong accounts experience
• QuickBooks experience would be preferred
• Highly proficient IT skills, including Excel
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
