Full Job Description

iMultiply is partnering with an established and successful accountancy practice, based in central Glasgow, that is entering the next phase of its growth journey. As a result of this recent growth the firm now requires an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its team.  


The Role


The successful candidate will work as part of a team within the accounts department, enjoying client contact and liaising with staff of varied experience levels to complete tasks in a supportive, friendly environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Point of contact for a portfolio of clients
  • The preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts and various forecasts
  • VAT compliance, supporting client book-keeping and providing software support
  • Proactively advising clients on the most appropriate in house software packages
  • Allocating work to and reviewing the work of more junior members of the team
  • Taking on ad hoc analysis and project work
  • Direct client contact will be a feature of the role so candidates should be comfortable with and enjoy this aspect of work.

The Person:


  • At least two years experience of financial accounts preparation obtained within an accountancy practice environment 
  • Experience using IRIS, SAGE and Xero would be beneficial.
  • Part Qualified ACCA (or equivalent)
