We're looking for a meticulous individual to take ownership of key financial operations and administrative responsibilities within our expanding business. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Maintain comprehensive financial records using Sage Accounting software
- Process and manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and distribute accurate, timely invoices
- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Handle VAT return preparation and submission
- Assist with payroll documentation in conjunction with external accountants
Compliance & Administration
- Ensure regulatory compliance and timely submission of required returns
- Manage expense processing within company guidelines
- Oversee office and property management tasks
- Handle procurement and purchasing requirements
- Support broader team administrative needs
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with Sage Accounting software
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management capabilities
- Professional communication skills
- Understanding of UK financial regulations and VAT requirements
- Relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualifications (preferred)
- Experience in the insurance industry or financial management
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
