37 hours per week, term time, Fixed term position of one year
£28,053 - £28,323 per annum, inclusive of £2,742 Distant Islands Allowance

An Activities Facilitator is required for 37 hours per week at Taigh Shiphoirt within the Goathill Campus. This is a newly built 52 bedded care home in Stornoway comprising of 4 wings {Bosta, Garry, Coll, and Dalmore} each with 13 en-suite bedrooms. The care home offers 24 hour care and support to older people who may have a range of complex health issues, including dementia.

You will plan, prepare and undertake a variety of activities and outings in consultation with Residents, Care Home Manager, Staff and Relatives of residents in a Care Home for Older Adults including Adults with Dementia.

Experience of working within a Care Setting is essential along with the ability to work with behaviours that challenge services. You will be able to forward plan / schedule and undertake activities and have the ability to pass on skills and knowledge to others. The postholder will need to be flexible and be able to work evenings and weekends.

This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with adults.

Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on the first point of grade. This post is for a fixed term of one year.
