Full Job Description

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to support the Reducing Drug Deaths Open Innovation Catalyst Challenge, a national challenge open to all four devolved nations.

As an Administrative Assistant will be a crutial part of the NHS Fife Innovation Office. As part of the position, you will coordinate closely with other members of the core regional HISES staff, including the Administrative Staff and Project Managers.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing a high standard of administrative support to the Innovation Manager, and the Senior Project Manager, as well as the wider Innovation Team, including acting as the first point of contact for all enquiries and responding or referring on as necessary.

You will provide effective and efficient project support and administration service to the Innovation Team to support the Reducing Drug Deaths Open Innovation National Catalyst Challenge, as well as meeting project deadlines on an ongoing basis throughout the project lifecycle.

You will be an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal, decision-making, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently.

You will have excellent IT skills, be attentive to detail, and have experience using videoconferencing and Microsoft Teams effectively.

You must have substantial experience in administration, or a formal degree or equivalent with experience providing relevant administrative support to a team.

You will primarily be based in the Research, Innovation and Knowledge (RIK) Department at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, although flexible work and home-based working will be considered.
