Full Job Description

Murray Recruitment is currently seeking an Office Administrator for our client, an electrical company based in Lanarkshire.


This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or build their career in administration, working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Enquiries: Handle incoming enquiries via phone and email, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Order Processing: Accurately process orders, ensuring all details are correctly input and updated.
  • Customer Communication: Keep customers informed on work updates and respond promptly to any queries or concerns.
  • Administration: Maintain and update spreadsheets, type correspondence using Microsoft Word, and ensure records are kept organised and accurate.
  • Engineer Liaison: Coordinate with engineers to manage customer queries, ensuring efficient communication and issue resolution.
  • General Office Support: Provide administrative support to the Office Manager, assisting with various tasks as needed.

 

Experience/skills:

  • Experience: Some experience in an administrative role is desirable, but not essential. This position is ideal for someone looking to build their career in administration.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Familiarity with spreadsheets and general typing duties is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Organisation: Ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain confident under pressure.
  • Team Player: Willingness to support colleagues and work collaboratively to meet the company’s goals.

Offering:

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm, and Friday 9am - 4pm.
  • Holidays: 32 days including bank holidays, with a 2-week Christmas shut down.
