Full Job Description

We're looking for an administrator to be an integral part of a small Land Rights Department, supporting EA Networks and EA Pipelines. The Administration Team responsibilities follow the Legal processes set down ( and varied from time to time) by the Head of Land Rights to enable the land rights which are required when assets are to be to adopted by Networks and Pipelines in relation to utilities. The legal work is largely handled in house, to aid the growth, development and efficiency of the company, and in addition working with External Solicitors as and when required., Liaising where necessary with landowners, clients and third parties
Identification of Land Rights requirements are required using various modes including HM Land Registry, and Street Manager
Search facilities and following through the Land Registry process to gain and maintain priority to facilitate completion of any required legal /documentation
Managing external legal resource where required
Maintaining Excel spreadsheets and files (including Milestone and internal Legal Tracker) to enable accurate retrieval of legal information
Liaising with the teams to ensure final connection and AV's are only remitted when legal completion has formally taken place
Following through the legal processes through to completed documentation and registration (if required)
To provide administrative support in all areas of the business as necessary from time to time.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft software Excel,Word,Outlook
Excellent communication skills
Ability to make decisions and be accountable for those decisions
Ability to use own initiative under pressure
A methodical and forensic aptitude
A positive attitude

Desirable skills

Knowledge of Utility Industry working practices
Knowledge of design related software
