Role Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be involved in the work of the Public Protection Committee, to ensure the highest level of practice in relation to Adult Support & Protection is delivered across the Scottish Borders. The post requires the right candidate to complete audits around how Adult Support & Protection services currently run, highlighting areas for improvement and lessons that can be learned. Including linking in with Local and National agendas / legislation, guidance and Learning Reviews to provide the best service for Adults and their families / carers who become involved with Adult Support & Protection services in the Scottish Borders. This post also includes training development and delivery.

Essential

A Diploma (or equivalent) in Social Work
Registration with SSSC
Post Graduate Adult Support & Protection Certificate or willing to undertake such qualification

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
