Full Job Description

Fife Neuro Rehabilitation Service is a multi-disciplinary neuro-rehabilitation unit providing expert neuro-rehabilitation to adults aged 16- 64 in an in-patient, out-patient and community setting.  The unit, based at Sir George Sharp Unit, Cameron Hospital consists of a 12 bedded in-patient facility with a Fife wide out-patient/community service.  Following a service review we are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and hard working occupational therapist to join our team based at Sir George Sharp Unit, Cameron Hospital.

You will work as part of the in-patient team based at Sir George Sharp Unit, Cameron Hospital providing highly expert, direct clinical care which encompasses specialist occupational therapy assessment, intervention and management of patients with highly complex needs.  You will be skilled and experienced in both clinical and leadership roles with experience in providing neurological or stroke rehabilitation.  You will lead the in-patient Occupational Therapy team and be responsible for staff development and quality improvement to ensure a high standard of quality care to patients admitted to the unit.

The service offers opportunities for continued professional development including training opportunities, service development and representation at regional and national uni-professional and multi-professional groups.

Qualifications: A degree in Occupational Therapy is essential with evidence of relevant specialist training specific to neurological rehabilitation advantageous.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
