Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Advanced Physiotherapist/Nurse in Lymphoedema at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and knowledgeable individual with a genuine interest in and commitment to the care of patients with lymphoedema/chronic oedema. Experience in caring for lymphedema, oncology, palliative, vascular or dermatology patients, would be advantageous.  A qualification in chronic oedema management would also be desirable, but candidates without the relevant training will be considered and full training will be provided.

The post can be considered for a trainee opportunity. During your trainee period you will be expected to do a combination of formal (attending post graduate course at Glasgow University) and on the job training which is expected to conclude after 18 Months.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Pre-reg MSc/BSc in Physiotherapy BSc in Nursing or equivalent
  • Must have substantial and varied clinical experience with significant experience of working within a relevant speciality at an advanced level
  • Requires to have post graduate training Lymphoedema management (or working towards / willing to undertake this)  or experience equivalent to a Masters Level. 
  • Relevant Post Graduate Courses (Management of Chronic oedema)
  • Formal appraisal training experience.

Hours:

18.5 per week

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

UK Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
