We are recruiting to a part time post working in NHS Highland to cover a maternity leave, within the First Contact Physiotherapy service Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner roles based in primary care work alongside GPs and other professionals in rural general practice. 

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner based in primary care, working alongside GPs and other professionals. We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist/s to join the NHS Highland First Contact team based in practices in and around Inverness area. This is one of the most beautiful and popular locations in the Highlands of Scotland. 

Applications are invited from physiotherapists who have advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of MSK conditions. 

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical care with previous specialist experience in this field.  

Injection skills and prescribing are part of this role and you will be expected to work toward completion of both if you do not have the qualification on application. Job share and part time applications will be considered.

A full current driving licence and use of car for work purposes is essential.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
