Full Job Description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a permanent, part-time post of 16.77 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Wednesday and Thursday (8.30-17.30).
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
Current HCPC Registration is required.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated physiotherapist with a passion for developing their career within the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy speciality, to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and to support the Mesh Complex Surgical Service within the New Victoria Care Hospital.
This physiotherapy post will ensure women attending the Mesh Complex Surgical Service and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy service receive excellent person-centred, evidence based care at each stage of their journey. The Physiotherapist in this role will employ a level of advanced practice knowledge to manage a case load of highly complex out-patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. Your expertise will contribute to the weekly multidisciplinary team discussions and this will also involve communication with outlying Health Boards and other health professionals involved in the patients care.
You must have a proven record of excellent clinical skills, communication, and time management skills and an ability to work autonomously, as well as an integral part of the team.
We would welcome informal notes of interest and happy to have conversations to prepare for applying for this post.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
Candidates should provide original and authentic responses to all questions within the application form. The use of artificial intelligence (AI), automated tools, or other third-party assistance to generate, draft, or significantly modify responses is strongly discouraged.
