Job Description

  • To be a role model for and support the delivery of competent and confident professional practice within a social work team.
  • To plan, support and co-ordinate LD packages and to take responsibility for managing complex situations including complex needs.

Responsibilities

The effective management of cases, the delivery of cost-effective interventions and the achievement of all relevant statutory requirements and department policies, standards and guidelines. To introduce and support the development of evidence based practice and to monitor and support provider organisation staff in the delivery of care and support.

To lead on the improvement of ICT systems on behalf of Practitioners.

To mentor and coach professional staff and peers including those less experienced and newly qualified social workers, ensuring a focus on evidence-informed practice.

To be responsible for practice audits within teams, working together with other advanced practitioners, consultant practitioners and the Performance and Quality Team.

To contribute to practice, policy and procedure improvements and developments through contribution of expert knowledge.

Health & Safety

The Individual

Considerable experience as a qualified Social Worker

Excellent knowledge of legislation, policies and practices associated with Community Care.

Experience of successfully managing a varied and complex caseload.

Professional qualification in Social Work and registration with SSSC.

Evidence of continuing professional development.

Ability to negotiate and liaise effectively.

Ability to reconcile demands and wishes against financial processes.

Ability to work flexibly and to meet demands of service.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to present complex information to colleagues.

Ability to work independently. Ability to support and monitor colleagues.

You will be expected to travel efficiently between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service.

Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.

Organised and able to manage competing priorities.

Salary: £48,764.95 to £53,364.35

Pro Rata: £39.011.96 - £42,691.48

Hourly Rate: £25.87

Hours Per Week: 29 hours
