Full Job Description

Heartland FM is Perthshire's local radio station. Established in 1992 we are one of the longest established radio stations in Scotland. We have recently rebranded and extended our coverage area. Introducing a larger audience to our service. We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Advertising Sales Executive to join our small team in Perthshire.

Objective:

To drive Heartland FM's commercial activities through selling radio advertising, sponsorship, promotional campaigns live events and digital advertising across Perthshire. Building relationships with the local business community and work with our creative team to tailor bespoke advertising and sponsorship packages for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Advertising Sales:

- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase station revenue through local and regional advertising and sponsorship.
- Design and present tailored advertising solutions that meet the specific needs and budgets of clients.
- Negotiate and finalise sales deals, ensuring they align with the station's advertising standards and revenue goals.

Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local businesses, media partners, and community leaders.
- Serve as the primary liaison for advertising and sponsorship inquiries, ensuring a positive and proactive interaction with the station.

Content and Campaign Management:

- Oversee the development of engaging advertising content that aligns with client goals and station standards.
- Collaborate with content creators and production teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of advertising materials.
- Monitor ongoing campaigns and adjust for performance and client satisfaction.

Proven experience in advertising sales and marketing, preferably within the media or related industry.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A demonstrated passion for community engagement and media.
