Air Import Agent - Glasgow As an Airfreight Agent, you'll use your talents to create innovative solutions and shape the future across our business. Join a global network of passionate experts - backed by the latest technology, to take your career to the next level. Job Purpose:
- Develop relationships with customers internal/external to grow existing business
- Liaise with airlines and DHL offices. Air freight planning and coordination
- Maintain mandatory milestones through the Company's Freight Forwarding system
- Use Company systems to create, manage and maintain the movement of freight
- Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally
- Adhere to Customs Compliance procedures and documentation
- Using quoteshop and following up on opportunities until business gained Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Two or more years' experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry.
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C or above - or equivalent desirable.
- Experience of HMRC procedures.
- Commercial awareness.
- Clear and concise communication skills (written and spoken).
- Ability to follow processes with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Inter-personal skills - Influencing, communication, relationship management, cultural awareness and ability to work across teams.
