Full Job Description

Are you a skilled technician or mechanic looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic environment? As an Aftermarket Service Technician / Mechanic in Kintore, you will perform service, repair, and testing on a variety of products, including truck-mounted and offshore containerized winches, diesel-driven power packs, and telescopic/folding wireline masts. You'll contribute to product assembly improvements through technical expertise, innovative problem-solving, and dedication to quality.,

  • Assemble, service, and repair equipment by following blueprints, diagrams, and engineering specifications while ensuring hydraulic/pneumatic system cleanliness.
  • Monitor and inspect materials and products to identify defects or faults, maintaining NOV quality standards.
  • Support initiatives such as on-time delivery, cost-of-quality control, and 5S/LEAN principles to ensure a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
  • Generate and implement improvement ideas for processes, products, and machinery while encouraging team contributions.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, addressing potential challenges and collaborating on solutions.
  • Execute assigned tasks to meet high output and quality standards, aiming for "right-first-time" results.
  • Identify and report design or process issues using the engineering support system to enhance current operations.
  • Promote and follow company objectives, policies, and safety protocols, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Adhere to inspection criteria and quality standards, ensuring all products meet NOV specifications.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support business demands and operations.

    Time-served apprenticeship (HGV/Plant Mechanics) with NC in a relevant subject.
  • Background in a mechanical-based profession.
  • Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, and technical procedures.
  • Desirable:
  • Higher education in a relevant subject.
  • Experience in a service and repair setting.
  • Forklift and overhead crane certifications.
