Full Job Description

  • Delivery of the Scottish Government's programme of Preparing for Sustainable Farming including Soil Sampling and Carbon Audits

  • Being open to the potential for developing new areas of client work in response to client need and within postholder skill set

  • Experience of working in the rural / agricultural sector

  • Possessing good communication and numeracy skills

  • Having attention to detail, and ability to embrace new technical IT systems and methods

  • The successful candidate must be able to work to tight deadlines and produce highly accurate, up to date reports to fulfil the requirements of the post.
    The post-holder will perform additional duties as directed from time to time by the Line Manager.
    The post holder must always be able to multi-task and use their initiative in the conduct of their work. They must be able to apply sound judgement to ensure that they conduct themselves within the framework of SRUC regulations and procedures.

    The Opportunity:

    Two exciting opportunities have arisen to work as part of our friendly and successful team in the South-West region. This technical role is concerned with providing support to farming businesses, in a wide range of duties, with a focus on farm accounts data processing and analysis.
