Full Job Description

NHS Forth Valley AHP Childrens Services has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join the Team in this new post to help create a comprehensive digital service particularly around the provision of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) aids.

You will work closely with the AHP Manager, Team Coordinators and AAC lead, and as digital specialist you will help manage a robust data base, advise and source AACs suitable apps ensuring best practice in terms of GDPR and cyber security, liaising with the Information Governance and IT Teams.  In addition, you will assist Speech and Language Therapists support their patients in the use of the apps.  There will also be opportunities to provide wider digital support around reporting mechanisms and use of data to help decision making and help improve services.  There will be detailed support to help you understand the role in AAC.

We would welcome applications from numerate individuals with at least an HND (or equivalent) in Business or IT/computer  related subject.  You will have experience of Excel and other data bases and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and evidence of team working. 

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area is essential for this post.
