Allied Health Professional Lead Band 8a (0.4 WTE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National AHP Lead to join the Managed Service Network for Children and Young People with Cancer (MSN CYPC).

The MSN was established in 2011 to ensure a single sustainable model of service delivery for children, teenagers and young people with cancer. The network provides support to all relevant clinicians operating across Scotland to work collectively in accordance with national guidelines and standards. This is an opportunity to become a part of that responsive and dynamic network.

The post holder is responsible for collaboratively supporting the strategic development of AHP cancer services for children and young people with cancer.  The post holder will not hold a budget, but will be required to source, secure and direct funding for the development of projects within their portfolio and as such will have a varying degree of financial accountability.

The post holder will either be line managed by or accountable to the National Network Manager (depending on the Health Board of employment).  The post holder will report to the National Network Manager and will collaboratively work on strategic development with the wider MSN CYPC clinical leadership team.  The post holder will take a lead on improvement initiatives for AHPs as required by the children and young peoples cancer strategy.

For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Robbie Grieve, National Network Manager, by email robbie.grieve@nhs.scot or Dr. Dermot Murphy, National Clinical Director, dermot.murphy4@nhs.scot

Short-listed applicants will be contacted by email.   Please check your emails regularly, including your junk/spam folder.
