Full Job Description
- Analysis - carry out high quality analysis and provide actionable intelligence. + Provide analysis of energy and market data in UK and Europe, relating to specific projects / tenders or wider market data. + Develop analytical and modelling tools following feedback from the Zeigo team. + Manage and improve models and data, improve reporting on Zeigo Power platform. + Interpret analysis to provide intelligence to wider business and our customers. + Own and deliver daily data management and analysis tasks on time and to a high standard. Own and manage data sources.
- Research - Be a recognised market expert. + Conduct research and provide analysis on market trends and regulation across Europe including PPAs, GOs & emerging technologies. + Build market reports for release by EM team, or for sale to customers. + Provide information and analysis for blogs & social media content. Build thought leadership content and understand UK and Europe market trends in association with PPA's. + Evolve market commentaries produced by Energy Markets to deliver more value. + Identify markets of interest for new and existing products - quantify opportunity revenue and scalability. + Identify products of interest for new and existing markets, identifying the problem or challenges to be solved and the potential for revenue and scalability. + Share intelligence on market environment/trends regularly both generally and specifically targeted to teams within Zeigo Power.
- Projects - be a key stakeholder in business projects. + Lead EM focused business projects. + Work with other teams, keeping them informed on project status and providing solutions to challenges. + Support delivery of paid customer projects.
- Other + Participate in events and webinars as a market expert. + Support the Head of Energy Markets on the strategic direction and resource planning of the EM team. + Line management and development of Energy Analysts/Researchers. + Work with Customer Success and Product teams to enhance our existing products and implement new ones. + Assist in growing the PPA pipeline using market intelligence to develop products and opportunities. + Work to develop collaboration with other areas of Schneider Electric + Take a software-driven approach to duties and customer interactions.
- STEM Degree, a postgraduate degree is desirable.
- Energy industry experience in the UK (and Europe desirable), preferably with experience of renewable energy, PPAs, renewable asset development, batteries or a similar area.
- An understanding of current and future decarbonisation and climate policy.
- Demonstrable knowledge / experience in data modelling or analysis, preferably in energy markets and sensitivity analysis.
- Advanced user of MS Excel and comfortable dealing with large amounts of energy data.
- Experience in programming is desirable, with a preference for VBA, Python, SQL, R, and/or Tableau.
- Knowledge of statistics is desirable.
- Strong evidence of market analysis and research - ideally using that to influence or add value within an organisation.
- Highly collaborative working style, comfortable working with other teams to achieve team and business targets.
- Be a self-starter and able to take the initiative to own your own workstreams, build and define your own brief and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable with communicating and presenting analysis in a way that is appropriate to the audience. Strong communication skills able to present conclusions and intelligence clearly and in a compelling manner.
- Ability to build credible thought leadership within the industry.
- Highly analytical and comfortable deriving insights from various data sets.
