Full Job Description

Stirling Council is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing, maintaining, and optimising the technology systems that support our essential public services. Your expertise in software deployment, systems administration, and database management will help ensure that our IT infrastructure is secure, efficient, and scalable.

As an IT Analyst, you will collaborate with a diverse team of developers, engineers, and business analysts to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the council's operations.   • Conduct research and analysis to identify areas where technology can improve council operations


  • Design and implement IT solutions for the council's software and hardware infrastructure


  • Analyse and resolve software and hardware issues to maintain system performance


  • Ensure the security of the council's IT systems


  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand technological needs and support user acceptance testing

    Demonstrable expertise in cyber security network administration, and software installation/configuration


  • 3+ years of experience in software deployment, database management, or a similar role


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Experience with IT project management methodologies


  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure


  • Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field


  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CISSP


  • Knowledge of ITIL


  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

    Competitive salary ranging from £34,803 to £37,911 per annum
