The Post:

We are looking for a Senior Donor Carer Venepuncturist to join our existing team of staff who provide a high standard of care to our donors; you will be required to Perform and monitor venepunctures to obtain whole blood donations and samples in accordance with nationally approved procedures.

The Candidate:

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, flexible person to undertake this challenging and interesting post. There are no specific qualifications for this position, however previous experience of dealing with the public in a health or service environment would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a PVG Scheme check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.

Location and Working Pattern:

Aberdeen & North-East Scotland Blood Donor Centre

Monday to Sunday, 21 hours per week. Work pattern predominantly Tuesday to Sunday, with some Monday sessions and travel to community locations throughout the week.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
