Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, coupled with expertise in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications. As an Application Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our software products throughout the development lifecycle.

How You Will Make an Impact:
+ Conduct regular security assessments and threat modeling on web and mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities
+ Collaborate with development teams to remediate security issues identified during assessments
+ Implement and maintain security tools and processes to safeguard applications against cyber threats
+ Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices
+ Provide guidance and training to developers on secure coding practices and application security principles
+ Participate in code reviews and architectural design discussions to ensure security is built into our applications from the ground up
+ Respond to security incidents and conduct post-incident analysis to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field or equivalent experience
+ 3+ years of experience in application security, software development, or a related field
+ Strong understanding of web application security principles, such as OWASP Top 10
+ Hands-on experience with security assessment tools and techniques, such as static analysis, dynamic analysis, and manual code review
+ Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in web development, such as JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby, Go
+ Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

£58,000-£78,000 GBP
