Full Job Description
Over a 5-year period (not including end point assessment). We provide bespoke training for our Quantity Surveyors of the future along with on-the-job mentoring and learning. When not being fully supported on a site/office you will attend a local university/college or apprenticeship provider., Quantity surveyors assist in the management of costs relating to construction projects to ensure overall financial success of a project. They calculate the amount and cost of materials needed for building work and are responsible for the financial management of a number of sub-contractors (e.g. bricklayers, scaffolders, ground workers etc.) across a construction project and manage the contractual/legal elements of a project.
You will study towards a Level 6 Chartered surveyor (degree) achieved through a combination of university work and gathering work-based experience and evidence. Academic Requirements Level 6: Minimum of 5 GCSE Grades A
- - C (4-9) in Maths, English Language & a Science. You will also need Level 3 qualifications, such as A-Levels, NVQs, a BTEC or a Level 3 (Advanced) apprenticeship/or completion of the Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician standard; Technician status or the equivalent with the industry's recognised professional bodies; HNC in Construction or equivalent qualifications and commensurate industry experience., Disability Confident About Disability Confident A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer.
