We are looking for an Apprenticeship Program Manager with experience of owning and managing a nationwide predominantly trade skills apprenticeship program. You will oversee both the academic and pastoral support of our 130 strong apprentice team, ensuring the processes that identify training and developmental needs work, and drive suitable training initiatives that enable the opportunities to progress careers and realise potential. You will become the mentor, coach, advisor, teacher, trusted confidant, of our future leadership team, utilising the EJ Academy
infrastructure and resources to develop the industry leading Apprenticeship Program in the UK. Key responsibilities Involved in the recruitment and selection process for apprentices. Work closely with HR and hiring managers to attract suitable candidates, review applications, conduct interviews, and select individuals who demonstrate potential for success in the program. Responsible for creating and implementing training plans. Coordinate with trainers, mentors, and supervisors to ensure apprentices receive appropriate on-the-job training, mentorship, access to learning resources and other academic and professional qualifications. Monitor the progress of each apprentice, identifies areas for improvement, and provide feedback and support. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records and documentation related to apprenticeship programs. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the program adheres to the necessary guidelines.
Work with HR and line managers to assess the performance of apprentices periodically and conduct evaluations to track their progress and identify areas where additional support may be required. Provide constructive feedback, set performance goals, and help apprentices develop their skills. Act as a point of contact for apprentices, mentors, trainers, and other stakeholders involved in the program. Foster positive relationships, address concerns or challenges, and facilitate effective communication between all parties. Collaborate with external organisations, educational institutions, and industry associations to promote apprenticeship programs and build partnerships. Assess the effectiveness and impact of the apprenticeship program, gathering feedback from apprentices, mentors, and supervisors. Use this information to make improvements, enhance the learning experience, and optimise the program's outcomes. Skills and Experiences Proven work experience in the Training / Staff Development

arena Track record in designing and executing successful apprentice-based training programs Knowledge of funding regimes and grants across all trade sectors / countries of the UK Experience of managing apprentice programs for trade skills Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc) Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively Strong writing and record keeping ability Up to date knowledge of the e-learning environment and associated systems.
