Full Job Description
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team to undertake a wide range of arboriculture and tree maintenance tasks and duties including felling, pruning, lifting, reducing, and planting trees. They will be required to climb trees and work at heights as well as being responsible for working safely and in accordance with safe working practices ensuring that all plant and machinery is used effectively. The successful candidate will work to industry standards and ensure that all steps are followed to ensure the safety of work colleagues and members of the public.

Come and join Wheatley Group as an Arborist., Previous experience in tree cutting, forestry or arboriculture; similar capacity experience is also considered. Relevant NPTC certificate units for the use of chainsaws:
- ground based chainsaw operations;
- tree climbing and aerial rescue;
- aerial cutting of trees with a chainsaw using free-fall techniques;
- felling and processing trees over 380mm (QCF);
- severing uprooted or windblown trees using a chainsaw; and
- arboriculture dismantling techniques. Additional training will be provided where required. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm and drive with a flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities. Safety is a key priority for this role, and you will be required to embed yourself in our safety culture and adhere to guidelines in everything you do.
