Full Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and configuration of gas analyzers of a wide range of specifications. This role requires an individual who is diligent and has excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate issues and observations to the Production teams. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Mechanical configuration of base unit analysers for first article testing, engineering analysers for method development testing/prototyping and customer analysers returned for re-configuration
  • Installation of electronic components following ESD Safety
  • Manufacture and installation of 1/8" & 1/16" Pipework
  • Assembly and wiring of Electrical cabling
  • Creation of controlled documentation packs
  • Maintenance and repair of in-house and customer returned analysers

    Customer focus driven, with the capability to efficiently and accurately handle complexed tasks. You will adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of our diverse collaborators. Familiarity with working under deadlines and in a target driven environment. You model as self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude, reliable and are comfortable working in a changing environment!
  • For This Role, You Will Need:
  • IT skills, specifically Office 365
  • To take hands on approach to problem solving
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to work to customer specific drawings and diagrams
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
  • HNC/HND or equivalent experience in science or technical subject, with practical manufacturing experience and/or Experience of analytical instrumentation
  • Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Knowledge of ATEX principles
