Full Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within City Property (Glasgow) LLP for an Asset Manager (Technical).

35 hours, permanent, Hybrid working ( two to three days a week at the office – depending on the needs of the business)

Grade 8 £49,799.14 – £57,821.70 – subject to 2024 pay award Plus non-standard payment £2,008 plus 26 days annual leave plus 12.5 public holidays, pension with Strathclyde Pension Fund

The Asset Manager will manage the existing CPGI investment portfolio and identify opportunities for inclusion within the Revenue and Capital plan(s). They will provide professional and technical services in the management of the investment portfolio, promote safe working practices and champion Health and Safety.

The successful candidate will provide a range of professional services to City Property Glasgow (Investments) LLP at the Markets as follows:

  • Using specialist professional knowledge and experience of commercial buildings and construction to manage the investment portfolio.
  • Working closely with the Projects Team Manager (CPGI) to identify investment opportunities.
  • Managing a team of professional and technical staff, including identifying development needs and providing support on professional and technical matters where required.
  • Managing and undertaking stock condition surveys, producing a planned preventative maintenance programme.
  • Supporting the delivery of energy and sustainability initiatives to be included within an improvement plan and preparing options appraisals.
  • Deputising for the Building Services and Projects Manager.
  • Preparing and delivering credible, accurate and timely reports providing professional advice and recommendations to the Board, GCC, funder and other statutory deadlines.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, identifying solutions and supporting the team and stakeholders through change.
  • Ensure compliance with Statutory requirements such as CDM duties, HASWA, DDA, Asbestos and Legionella.
  • Ensure the management standards are adopted.
  • Anticipate the need for change and provide solutions to the senior management team.
  • Representing City Property LLP internally and externally as required,
  • Responsible for ensuring Health and Safety and risk management procedures are understood and adhered to.
  • Provide strategic support to colleagues managing incidents occurring outwith normal working hours.
