Full Job Description

We have an opportunity for an Asset Officer to join our Asset Delivery team, based in Glasgow. You will be working within a team of 6 and the role will include a mix of office, home and site working. The role of Asset Officer will include:

  • Undertaking stock condition surveys and other property inspections in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and contract performance
  • Helping to identify required asset improvements in line with business plans, ensuring that strategies and plans are developed and high-quality services are delivered
  • Managing cyclical and capital work projects in line with legislation and making appropriate recommendations
  • Overseeing the delivery of mixed tenure work programmes in accordance with the organisation's financial policies and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records and managing documentation for work specifications and quotations
  • Providing detailed reports and advice on budgets to aid decision making and reviewing costs for accuracy as appropriate
  • Coordinating and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of progress by providing clear and precise updates

  • To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role will be qualified in a HND or HNC in Surveying or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
  • Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third-party suppliers
  • Experience of working within a building, surveying and maintenance environment
  • Working knowledge of legislations and best practice
  • Ability to extract and interpret computerised information and documentation
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages
  • Experience with drone operations for inspection desirable
  • Domestic Energy Assessor qualified/experience is desirable, with a willingness to complete training subject to satisfactory performance after 12 months
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

  • Role salary is £31,611 with an additional policy allowance of £4,760 per annum (rising to £33,275 with an additional policy allowance of £5,011 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
