Assistant Accountant

Iconic Resourcing Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be supporting a highly successful and well established organisation in Glasgow City Centre as they seek to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a full-time, permanent and hybrid model (flexi time may be agreed).

Reporting into the Head of Accounts, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of quarterly management account packs, alongside  overseeing a client portfolio. Key areas of the role will surround:

• Regular reporting to clients (standard and additional reports as required)
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of client reports (e.g., VAT, client statements)
• Prepare management accounts as needed
• Conduct annual property service charge audits, collaborating with the Asset Manager and service charge auditors to adhere to best practice guidelines
• Perform annual property service charge cash reconciliations, including a full balance sheet with narrative

Key Skills

• Strong team player with the ability to meet deadlines. The Assistant Accountant must be adaptable, working in a dynamic and evolving department where tasks and deadlines are reviewed daily.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Experience within property would be highly advantageous 
• Experience with General Ledger, P&L, and Balance Sheet
• Banking and cash receipting experience
• Experience in preparing and executing payments to suppliers/clients
• Level 3 AAT Qualified, or ACCA exemptions would be highly advantageous
