Full Job Description

iMultiply are working in partnership with a leading business looking for a Full-Time, permanent Assistant Accountant to be based in their Stirling office. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual with exceptional communication skills.

The Role

The main purpose of this role is to manage the cash flow, invoicing and financing facilities of the organisation.


As the Assistant Accountant, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:


  • Assist in completing the month-end process within the company’s deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Brewer’s payroll department to facilitate monthly payroll processing.
  • Handle the processing of PL overhead invoices.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Aid in reconciling balance sheet accounts, including supplier and stock accounts.
  • Manage accruals and prepayments.
  • Oversee mid-month and month-end payment runs.
  • Provide support during the year-end process.
  • Offer coverage to produce daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:


  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Eagerness to get stuck in with all finance tasks and support the wider team
  • Exceptional organisational skills and accountability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Eager to learn and expand your knowledge to ensure you work efficiently 
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of numeracy and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Capable of completing tasks independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in presenting large amounts of data in a clear and concise manner.
