We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for teaching to join the Clinical Education Team.

The post holder will be working between the Ophthalmology Pre-operative and theatre environment. The post holder will be promoting an environment that encourages learning, teaching and the development of all staff, including those undergoing training.

You will work closely with the Senior Charge Nurse group and Clinical Nurse Manager to ensure education opportunities are fully utilised and relevant to staff needs. The post holder will split their time between working clinically alongside nursing staff to develop their knowledge and skills, office work to prepare appropriate teaching materials, leading in departmental teaching activities and attendance at meetings.

You will be a Registered Nurse educated to degree level in nursing or healthcare (or equivalent). You will have excellent communication and organisational skills. You will have evidence career progression in Ophthalmology, have active Practice Assessor status and evidence of informal local teaching within clinical environment.
