Full Job Description

We currently have a permanent vacancy in the new Care Village, Care Home in Methil which provides care 7 days a week for residents.

Assistant Cook - Methilhaven Care Village - 31.5 hours per week as required on a 3 week rota with 1 long weekend off every 3 weeks.

Duties will include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food, along with understanding the requirements of special diets.

Duties may include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, it's surround and equipment.

Must have catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent.

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.

You will be required to attend Induction Training before starting in post.

You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 (pro-rata) and have access to a range of benefits, including:
